Surrounded by his loving family at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB
on May 21, 2010, Mr. Millen Foster Taylor of Bonny River NB passed away.
Born at Second Falls NB on November 5, 1926, he was a son of the late
Herbert and Ella (Stewart) Taylor. Survived by his wife, Barbara (Matthews)
Taylor, one daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Barker of Bethel NB, two sons; Stephen
(Gail) Taylor of Canal NB and Jeffrey (Shelley Dougherty) Taylor of Bonny
River, three grandchildren; Jill Taylor of Halifax NS, Abigail Barker of
Bethel and Ashton Taylor of Bonny River, two brothers, Richard Taylor and
Roy Taylor both of Bonny River, one sister, Ruby Taylor of New York and
several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister and five
brothers.
Millen worked in Forestry in his early years, both locally and for a short
time in British Columbia. He also worked in Baffin Island and Newfoundland.
He was also involved in the Trucking Industry for a number of years and in
later years worked in the Construction Industry before his retirement.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage
Street, St. George, NB from where the family will receive friends and family
on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the
funeral home from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 24,
2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Darren Millett officiating. The interment will follow
at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Donations in Millen’s memory to the
Alzheimer’s Society or the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be
appreciated by his family.
