At the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on September 18, 2009, Mrs. Pearl
Elsie (Woodbury) McKillop, wife of the late Mr. Donald M. McKillop formerly
of Utopia NB. Born at Lake Utopia on February 3, 1922, she was a daughter of
the late Daniel and Amy (White) Woodbury. A loving mother, grandmother and
sister, she is survived by two sons; Donald McKillop of Utopia NB and Rufus
(Cheryl) McKillop of Harvey NB, three daughters; Roberta Dyer of Oakville
ON, Pearl “Janet” Russell and Amy (Roger) Shevalier both of Erin ON, 12
grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one sister; Muriel E. Justason of St.
George NB, two nieces; and several cousins. In addition to her husband
Donald, she was predeceased by one brother, Frederick Woodbury and by one
grandson, Steven Russell.
Prior to her retirement, Pearl worked with NB Tel for many years, retiring
in the position of Assistant Chief - Operator. She loved blueberrying and
was a member of Christ Church (Anglican) in Pennfield NB where she served on
vestry and as a Sunday school teacher. Pearl was also a member of the
Telephone Pioneers.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage
Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E.
Waycott Memorial Chapel on Tuesday at 2 pm with Rev. Keith Osborne
officiating followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting
at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Pearl’s memory,
donations made to Christ Church (Anglican) or a charity of the donors choice
would be appreciated by the family.
