June Elaine (Curran) Anthony
Surrounded by family, at the residence of her daughter, Bonnie Seelye,
in Blacks Harbour NB on September 27, 2007, Mrs. June Elaine (Curran)
Anthony, wife of the late Ralph B. Anthony of Blacks Harbour NB. Born in
St. Stephen NB on June 1st, 1936 she was a daughter of the late Howard
and Dorothea (Connolley) Curran. A loving mother, grandmother and sister
June is survived by three sons; Bert (Rebecca) Anthony of Pennfield NB,
Howard (Kathy) Anthony of Oak Bay NB and Dallas Anthony of Alberta, six
daughters; Bonnie (Mark) Seelye and Elizabeth “Betty” Anthony both of
Blacks Harbour, Glenna (Allan) Mahar of Pennfield, Lori (Ian) Hudson of
Westfield NB, Sherry (David) McLaughin of St. George NB and Dorothy
Small of Pennfield, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grand daughters, one
sister, Kay Wormell of St. Stephen, three brothers; Wesley Curran of
Elmsville NB, Charles Curran of Waweig NB and James Curran of Saint John
NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband Ralph, she
was predeceased by three sisters; Marie Neathway, Maxine and Barbara
Curran, three brothers; Edward, Ronald and Kenneth Curran.
Prior to her retirement, June was employed by Connors Bros. for over 23
years. She was an avid bingo player throughout the local area. She loved
taking bus tours and travelling. June was an active volunteer at the
Fundy Nursing Home in Blacks Harbour prior to her illness.
Resting at the Wesleyan Church Blacks Harbour from where the service
will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm with rev. Bruce Cheney officiating
followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the
church on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In remembrance of June,
donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the
