John Vance Justason

Following a brief illness, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB, on July 18th, 2007, surrounded by his family, Mr. John Vance Justason husband of Lillian Mae (Anthony) Justason of Nerepis NB. Born in Pennfield NB on September 30, 1942, he was a son of the late James A. Justason and Pauline (Grey) (Justason) Bullerwell.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother he is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lillian, three sons; John Robert Justason and Tim Justason both of Saint John and Adam James Justason of Nerepis, one daughter; Sandi Justason (Alain Desrosiers) of Saint John, three grandchildren; Timothy Hohmann, Shelby Justason and Zachary Quinn and a chosen granddaughter Mariah Hohmann, two brothers; Malcolm (Sheila) Justason of Bear River NS and Bruce (Donna) Justason of Pennfield NB, one sister; Judy (Fred) Isles of Bear River NS, three half brothers; Colin (Mary) Justason of Ontario, Doug (Wanda) Bullerwell of Nova Scotia and Richard Justason of Alberta, two half sisters; Dorothy (John) Carson of Quispamsis NB and Susan (Gene) Hay of Annapolis Royal NS and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
John was a great lover of music and enjoyed working with cars. He was a former employee of Bell Aliant for 37 years as a network technician. He was a graduate of ECRS in St. George were he was a former member of the Army Cadets serving as a Lieutenant. He was also a life member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. Bruce Cheney officiating. Interment to follow at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9 and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
