Marguerite Mae Cooke

 Peacefully, surrounded be her family, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on June 15th, 2007, Mrs. Marguerite Mae (Wilcox) Cooke, wife of Mr. Glendon Cooke of Utopia, NB. Born in Pennfield, NB on August 23rd, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Edith (Trynor) Wilcox. A loving wife, mother and grandmother she is survived by her husband Glendon, two sons; Glendon and Gerry Cooke both of Utopia, three daughters; Donna (William) Barrio of L’Etang NB, Lisa (Tim) Carr of Sydney NS and Sheryl Tucker (David) of Rothesay NB, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two brothers; Sheldon (Audrey) Wilcox and Ellsworth (Alice) Wilcox both of Pennfield NB, one sister; Joyce (Courtney) Evans of Saint John NB, one sister in law; Laura Wilcox of Utopia, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Lawrence Wilcox.

 

Marguerite loved wildlife and being surrounded by animals. She loved the outdoors and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of St. George

 

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held from the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Main Street in St. George on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ken Corkum and Rev. Ron Henderson officiating. Interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. In Marguerite’s memory donations to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
