Marie Irene Turner

At her residence at St. George NB on June 19, 2013, Mrs. Marie Irene (Justason) Turner, wife of the late Ralph L. Turner formerly of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on January 30, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Basil and Della (Leavitt) Justason. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Marie is survived by one son, Steven (Colleen) Turner of Saint John NB, one daughter, Alda Turner (Gaetan Palk) of Pennfield NB, one granddaughter, Misty Gray of Edmonton AB, four great grandchildren, Ethan, Hunter, Fiona and Noah, one sister, Marlene Justason of Blacks Harbour NB, two brothers; James (Phyllis) Justason of Beaver Harbour NB and Arthur (Nancy) Card of St. George NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Joyce.

Marie enjoyed keeping busy. She loved walking with her friend, Viola, and playing games with her sister, Marlene, once or twice a week. She enjoyed baking, crocheting and traveling. She was a long time member of the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School to many local children.

Resting at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church, Blacks Harbour NB from where the service will be held on Friday at 4:00 pm with Rev. Mark McCluskey officiating followed by the interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church will take place on Thursday from 5-9 pm. In Marie’s memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
