Heloise Marie McCarten

At the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on January 10, 2013, Mrs. Heloise Marie (Leslie) McCarten, wife of the late Mr. L. Murray McCarten formerly of Back Bay NB. Born at Back Bay NB on October 9, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Alice (Leavitt) Leslie. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister she is survived by one daughter, Judy McCarten of Ottawa ON, two grandchildren; Danielle Gilbert of Ottawa ON and Sean (Anna) Gilbert of Whistler BC, one great-granddaughter, Ella Gilbert of Whistler BC, one brother, Burton Leslie of Back Bay NB, two sisters in law; Jenny Donovan of Edmonton AB and Mary Eileen McCarten of St. George NB and several cousins.

Heloise took great pride in caring for her family and making a loving and warm home. She enjoyed being outside in the garden, cooking for her family and friends and going on camping trips.

There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held from the L’Etete Church of Christ, L’Etete NB on Sunday at 2 pm with Rev. Giles Mullen officiating. The interment will be held at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. In Heloise’s memory, donations to the L’Etete Church of Christ or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
