Bonnie Jean Thorne

Unexpectedly at her residence at on December 2, 2011, Mrs. Bonnie Jean (Shephard) Thorne wife of the late Mr. Gordon “Maurice” William Thorne of St. George NB. Born at Saint John NB on October 7, 1975, she was a daughter of Barbara (Hachey) Shephard and the late Cecil Ernest Shephard. A loving mother, daughter, granddaughter and sister she is survived by two sons; Glendon Thorne of Barnesville NB and Gordon Thorne of St. George NB, one daughter, Lauza Thorne of St. George NB, her mother, Barbara Shephard (Sandra) of Barnesville NB, her maternal grandmother, Lauza Hachey of Saint John NB, one brother, Cecil Shephard (Erica Grutzner) of Baxters Corner NB, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

At an earlier time Bonnie had been employed by Silver Hatchery, where she worked with her late husband Maurice. She had a great love of the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing. During her free time Bonnie was always up for a game of Bingo. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Darren Millett officiating. Visiting will take place at the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the funeral home just prior to the service from Noon until 2:00 pm. In Bonnie’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
