On February 25, 2012, after a long illness, Anita Mary (
Gaudet)
Hooper of St. George NB passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital, St.
Stephen NB. Born at Digby County NS on July 11, 1945, she was a daughter of
the late Daily and Margaret (
Belliveau) Gaudet. She is
survived by her companion, Leo
Cormier of St. George NB,
five children; Marlene Gaudet of Nova Scotia, Laureen
Belliveau
(Bill) of Shediac NB, Rudy Hooper (Jodi) of St. George NB, Michelle Hooper
(Keith) of St. Stephen NB and Angie
Kinney of St. George
NB, nine grandchildren; Matt, Jessica, Natasha, Keana, Joel, Veronica,
Jayden, Breanne and Mackenzie, two brothers; Robert Gaudet (Brenda) of
Pennfield NB and Norman Gaudet (Brenda) of Blacks Harbour NB, three sisters;
Hilda
Doucet (James) of Little Brook NS, Shirley
Grant (Charlie) of Halifax NS and Doris
Quinn
(Mike) of Saulnierville NS and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prior to her retirement, Anita worked for Connors Brothers as a Packer for
many years. She enjoyed going to yard sales and attending flea markets and
in her spare time loved to cook. She was a very devoted neighbour and friend
who was always willing to help someone in need. She loved her family and her
grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be sadly missed by all who
knew her.
Resting at St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage
Street, St. George NB with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm. Visiting will
also take place from the Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB on Sunday
from 1:00 pm until the service. The Service will take place at the church on
Sunday at 4:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. Interment at the St.
George Rural cemetery will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation or to the Seaview Full Gospel
Church would be appreciated by the family.
