Unexpectedly at his residence, on September 17, 2011, Mr. Gordon “Bud”
Anthony Leblanc, husband of Mrs. Sandra Lee (Hoyt) Leblanc of St. George NB.
Born at Yarmouth NS on November 15, 1937, he was a son of the late Levi and
Melvina (Herlbert) Leblanc. A loving husband, father, grandfather and
brother, in addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by two sons;
Stephen (Lisa) Leblanc of Calgary AB and Scott (Heather) Leblanc of Saint
John NB, four grandchildren; Brittany, Janel, Danielle and Adrianna, one
sister, Patricia Boates of Yarmouth NS, one brother, Kenneth Leblanc of
British Columbia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Gordon was
predeceased by one sister, Jacqueline Moody.
Prior to his retirement, Gordon worked for NB Power at Point Lepreau as EI&C
Supervisor for 20 years after having served in the Royal Canadian Air Force
for 25 years. In his retirement, Gordon took up gardening as a hobby and was
a member of the Granite Town Garden Club. He was also a former coach for
minor hockey and enjoyed to go hunting and fishing. He will be sadly missed
by all who knew him, especially his family and friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage
Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E.
Waycott Memorial Chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Darren Millett
officiating. The interment will be held at the St. George Rural Cemetery at
a later date. Visiting at the funeral home will take place on Tuesday from
2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Gordon’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated by the family.
