Mary "Jackie' Jacqueline Balasiuk

1934-2011

Mary "Jackie' Jacqueline Balasiuk
At home on June 25, 2011 Jackie passed from the loving arms of her husband to the arms of her Saviour.

Born in St. George NB on April 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Bessie Irene (Henry) Armstrong. She is survived by her best friend of 38 years and love of her life Walter, children Richard “Rik” (Linda) Davie, Maria Gravelle and Roberta Pettersson. She leaves many memories with her grandchildren Luke, James and William, her sisters Jeanne Young and Barbara Ginivan. She was predeceased by her brother Burton “Sonny” Armstrong.

She also leaves her “other” children - nieces and nephews, Joan Padillo, Judy (Bruce) Dodd, Diane (Leonard) Allan, Gary (Doris) Armstrong, Blake Armstrong and Beth Ginivan. She would not want us to forget to include special friends, Lil and Vaughn Boyle who have been best friends and constant support especially during the past year.

Jackie’s great ability to spin a great story, sense of humor, imagination and impersonations created many laughs and memories for those who knew her. She was a life long member of the St. George Baptist Church in St. George.

The family would like to thank the nurses of Charlotte County Hospital, Extra Mural support, Tammy and Miranda (Fundy Hospital) and to her Church family for their prayers and support. A thank you also to the many prayer lines from different churches in the area for Jackie’s healing.
