Annie Alberta Leavitt
1932-2011
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on March 25, 2011,
Mrs. Annie Alberta (Proctor) Leavitt, wife of Mr. Bernard “Pat” Leavitt
of Canal NB. Born at Sussex NB on February 1, 1932, she was a daughter
of the late Garfield and Margaret (Richardson) Proctor. A loving wife,
mother and grandmother, in addition to her husband Pat, she is survived
by two sons; Bernie (Darlene) Leavitt of Canal NB and Ricky (Leah)
Leavitt of Bonny River NB, two daughters; Brenda (Robin) Baldwin of
Canal NB and Angie (Jason) Gaudet also of Canal NB, three grandchildren;
Robie, Scotty and Mandy, three great grandchildren; Ben, Lilly and Izzy
and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son,
David Leavitt, one brother, Murray and by three sisters; Lillian,
Pauline and Kay. Annie was the last surviving member of her immediate
family.
Annie loved nothing more than to spend time with her family and husband
Pat, who she married On February 21, 1953 in Saint John NB. She was a
kind soul who loved animals and she especially enjoyed feeding the Deer.
She was known as a great cook to all her family and friends and did
extremely well at pickling. In her spare time she loved going for a
drive, shopping or enjoying her Tim Horton’s coffee. She will be sadly
missed by her family who she loved so dearly.

Portage Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held from
the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Monday at 2:30 pm with Rev. Jeff
Hoyt officiating. The interment will take place at the St. George Rural
Cemetery in the Spring. Visiting will be held from the Gary E. Waycott
Memorial Chapel at the funeral home on Monday from Noon until 2:00 pm.
In Annie’s memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a
charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
