Dean Alan Dick

1952-2011

Dean Alan Dick
Unexpectedly, at St. George NB on January 24, 2011, Mr. Dean Alan Dick, husband of Mrs. Deborah (Norman) Dick of St. George NB. Born at St. Stephen, NB on March 28, 1952, he was a son of Mrs. Marjorie (Stewart) Dick and the late Mr. F. Clayton Dick. Dean was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by his wife Deborah, son Jeffrey Dick of St. George NB, daughter, Amanda Dick and her fiancé Domenico Ranieri of St. Stephen NB, his mother, Marjorie Dick of L’Etete NB, two brothers; Dale (Margaret) Dick of L’Etete NB and Jerry Dick of Mascarene NB, two sisters; Lorna (Clifton) Rogers of Minto NB and Joan (Lorne) Leavitt of L’Etete NB, one aunt, Marion Barry of St. George. His several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law loved Dean and his always-helping ways. Best buddy “Toby” will definitely be lost without Dean and their trips to Tim’s.

Dean was employed by the Town of St. George Public Works as a maintenance worker for the last 10 years and was Union representative for Local NBPEA 001. Prior to working for the Town of St. George, he was employed at Saint John Ship Building and in the interim, for various other employers.

Dean’s greatest pride and joy were watching his kids grow into fine young adults. He was very proud of Jeff’s hockey skills and equally so of Amanda excelling at University and becoming an Occupational Therapist. It was very obvious to all Dean was truly a family man all the way.

Dean spent most of his leisure time hunting, doing puzzles, not to mention washing and waxing his and Jeff’s and Amanda’s vehicles. When work was done, Dean was often seen at Tim’s enjoying a coffee and a chat with his many, many friends.
