Mrs. Edith Irma
Seamans (
Richardson),
wife of the late Mr. Joseph George “Graham” Richardson of Canal NB. Born
at
St. George NB on March 8, 1934, she
was a daughter of the late Joshua and Bertha (
Brown)
Seamans. A loving sister, aunt and friend she is survived by one
brother, Norman Seamans of St. George NB and several nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to her husband, Graham, she was predeceased by two
sisters; Stella
Knowles and Anita
Drysdale
and by five brothers; Hazen, Harry, Lorne, Keith and William.
Prior to her retirement, Edith worked for Eatons, Montreal QC, Saint
John General Hospital, Saint John NB, Conleys Lobster Plant, St. Andrews
NB as well as Connors Bros., Blacks Harbour NB doing clerical work. She
loved painting, cooking, sewing and a good shopping trip with her
friends. She was a member of St. Marks Anglican Church, St. George NB.
As keeping with Edith’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A
celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 2:00
pm at the St. Marks Anglican Church, St. George NB with Rev. Mary Ann
Langmaid officiating, followed by the interment at the St. George Rural
Cemetery. In Edith’s memory, donations to the St. Marks Anglican Church
or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the
