LAURA MARIE RICHARD

Peacefully, at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB, on Saturday, March 4, 2006, Mrs. Laura Marie (Leblanc) Richard, wife of the late Edmund Joseph Richard of Pennfield, NB. Born in St. Norbert, NB on April 8, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Elsie (Leblanc) Leblanc. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by two daughters: Emerise (Germain) Maillet of Pennfield and Denise Richard of Lepreau, NB; six sons: Leo Paul Richard of Mississauga Ontario, Gerard (Irene) Richard of Utopia, NB, Emile Richard (Gloria Boudreau) of Richibucto, NB, Ola (Maureen) Richard of Beaver Harbour, NB, Ivan (Kaye) Richard and Ernest (Susan) Richard, both of Pennfield, NB; 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one sister, Leona Boucher of Fitchburg Mass. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband who passed away in 1990, she was predeceased by an infant son, Yvon, a brother, Irenee, granddaughter, Lenora Maillet and a daughter-in-law, Priscilla Richard.

Laura enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She attended as many local talent shows as she could as she loved local talent. Her greatest love was her family and she truly enjoyed family get-togethers. She was a woman of great faith who trusted God to look after her needs. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St George, NB with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday at 12 noon, followed by interment in St. George’s Catholic Cemetery. In Laura’s memory donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
