children by her side, on February 16, 2012, Mrs. Stella Marie (
Leger)
Bourque, wife of Mr. Gerald Joseph Bourque of St. George NB. Born at
Bouctouche NB on August 9, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Cleophas and
Marie (
Richard) Leger. A loving mother, grandmother, great
grandmother and sister, in addition to her loving husband Gerald Sr., she is
survived by one son, Gerald Jr. (Lisa) Bourque of St. George NB, five
daughters; Ginette Bourque (Terry Barry) of St. George NB, Giselle (Terry)
Swanston of Pennfield NB, Julie Bourque (Stacy Guitard) of
Canal NB, Carol (Steven)
Frost of Beaver Harbour NB and
Pauline (Francis)
Boudreau of Notre-Dame NB, grandchildren;
Brodie (Christine) Bourque, Amanda Bourque (Keith Leslie), Michelle
Deveau (Brandon Gayton), Tiffany Deveau, Vanessa

(Nick Palmer), Tamara Taylor (Matt Gibbons), Cassidy Frost, Allie Frost,

nephew and cousins. Stella was predeceased by one brother, Ronald.
Prior to retirement Stella worked for Connor’s Brothers. She loved being
outside gardening, bird watching or feeding the deer that wondered into her
back yard. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her
grandchildren. In her leisure time she loved to play cards or could be found
shopping. She will be greatly missed by her husband, children, family and
friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage
Street, St. George NB with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A
Memorial Mass will be held from the St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, St.
George NB on Monday at 11:00 am with Father Rolando Suplido officiating. By
request, no flowers please. In Stella’s memory, donations to the Charlotte
County Cancer Society or to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care
Unit would be appreciated by the family.
