MRS. H. L. SULLIVAN

Mrs. Mary Jane (Mamie) Sullivan, 189 Watson Street, West Saint John, formerly of Bonny River and Pennfield Ridge, widow of the late Horace L. Sullivan, died January 12 (1979) at the West Saint John Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was in her 90th year.

Born at Second Falls Charlotte County, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Sullivan) Keough.  She took up residence with her daughter in Saint John after the death of her husband in 1967.

She was a former member of the St. George's Catholic Church in St. George, later of the Assumption Church and a former member of the Assumption C.W.L.

Survived by one daughter, Kathleen, Mrs. Leo J. LeBreton Saint John, nieces and nephews.

The body rested at the Castle Funeral Home (Fallsview) Lancaster Avenue from where the funeral was held on Tuesday to the Church of the Assumption for Funeral Mass celebrated by Rev. Donald Warner.  Pallbearers were, Lloyd O. Hughes, Gerald A. Murphy, John Brilliant and Ivan D. McArthur.  Numerous floral and spiritual tributes were received from friends and neighbours.  Contributions were also received for Kidney Foundation, N. B. Heart Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society.  Entombment took place in Cedar Hill receiving vault to be followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring.
