JOHN WILLIAM MCOUAN

At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on January 31, 2014,following a lengthy illness, Mr. John William McOuan, husband of Mrs. Brenda (Cochrane) McOuan of L’Etete NB passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born at Montreal QC on August 20, 1955, he was a son of the late Thomas and Bessie (Norris) McOuan. A loving husband, father and grandfather, in addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa McOuan of L’Etete NB, his sons, Thomas "T.J" McOuan of L’Etete NB, Keith McOuan (Jill Chamney-McOuan) and Murray McOuan both of Calgary AB, four grandchildren, Travis & Royce and Danika & Easton and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Prior to illness, John worked as a truck driver for his privately owned company in Calgary AB for many years and upon moving to the Maritimes drove for Blacks Harbour Transfer and Shoreland. He enjoyed driving, traveling and watching the History Channel, especially programs on nature and learning. John had a heart of gold and had a soft spot for children and animals. He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, family and friends but will be fondly remembered for his love of life.

Resting at the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB from where the service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. Visiting will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In John’s memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
