Ethelyn Hope Voutour

Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 26, 2011, Ms. Ethelyn Hope Voutour of Utopia NB. Born at Troy NY on August 5, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Bessie (Marr) Kelson. A loving mother, grandmother and sister she is survived by two sons; Richard Stanton (Frances) of Bolton ON and Wayne Stanton (Tina Justason) of L’Etang NB, grandchildren; April, Samuel, Rebecca, Debbie, Hailie, Hayden and Dominic, one sister, Shirley Ann Martin of St. George NB and one niece, several nephews and cousins.

Prior to her retirement, Ethelyn worked for Connors Bros at both the Blacks Harbour and Beaver Harbour locations. Before her illness, she was known as a great socialite who had a hardy laugh and a good joke. Her smile and infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew her.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Wednesday at 2 pm with Rev. Carl Wright officiating. Visiting at the funeral home will take place on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Ethelyn’s memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
