SKODJE, ASLAUG-
Aslaug Elida (Dypvik) Skodje, 86 years of age,
Søvik, Norway. At Brattvåg Hospital, January 25, 2008, Brattvåg, Norway
after a lengthy illness.
Survived by one son, Stig Skodje
and his wife Rosalie, of Saint George, NB.; one daughter-in-law, Laura
Skodje of Blacks Harbour, NB.; one brother Erling Dypvik (Svanhild)
of Søvik, Norway and two special sisters-in-laws, Antonette Storeheim of
Valderøy, Norway and Lilly Tennfjord of Søvik, Norway.; eleven grand
children and seven great grandchildren of Saint George
and several nieces and nephews of
Norway.
Aslaug was predeceased by her
husband, Peder Skodje of Søvik, Norway in 1997; one brother John Dypvik of
Gamlem, Norway;
one son Oddbjørn Skodje in 2004 and
one grandson, Eirik Skodje both of Blacks Harbour, NB.
Aslaug came to Canada with her
husband and two sons in 1962. She lived in Bathurst, NB., Georgetown,
P.E.I., Blacks Harbour, NB., Grand Manan, NB and Saint George, NB. In
1983 she returned to Søvik, Norway with her husband where she lived until
her death.
Funeral services were held at the
Hamnsund Church, Hamnsund, Norway on January 29, 2008.

made to the Alzheimer's Society.
