Peacefully, at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on June 28, 2004, Mrs. Louise Gertrude (MacCarlie) Spinney, 101, went home to be with her husband, George, who pre-deceased her in August 1998. Born at Oak Bay, NB on June 28, 1903, she was a daughter of the late William Edward and Carrie Ella (Johnson) MacCarlie. Survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Louise was a long time resident of St. George, NB. She was a member of the St. George United Baptist Church, and OES Granite Chapter #15. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Resting at the St. George United Baptist Church, with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held at 2 pm Friday, July 2, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
