It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Roberta
Muriel (
Leavitt)
Dick, wife of the late
Ward Gilbert
Dick, of L’Etete NB at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB
on July 14, 2008. Born in
L’Etang NB on
January 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha
Leavitt. She is survived by her daughter Donna
Burke, and her
husband Richard, sons Ronald Dick and his wife Micheline and Sheldon
Dick, grandsons Benjamin Dick, Gregory Burke and his fiancée, Da Pan
(Panda). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Roberta was predeceased by her husband Ward in 1996 and her sisters,
Addie
Thompson, Irene Leavitt, Vera
Matthews, Viola
Cunningham, Marado Leavitt, Stella
O’Connor, Margaret
Justason and her brother Murray Leavitt. Roberta was the last
surviving member of her immediate family.
Roberta was a member of the L’Etete Church of Christ and her life
centered around her church and her family. For many years she was
actively involved in the Willing Workers and Missionary Society.
Resting at the L’Etete Church of Christ from where the service will be
held on Thursday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Giles Mullen officiating. The
interment will follow the service at the L’Etete Community Cemetery.
Visiting at the church will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In
Roberta’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be
