Horace Allison Maxwell



Peacefully, at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB, the death of Mr. Horace Allison Maxwell, formerly of Canal, occurred on July 26, 2005. Born in St. George, NB on October 18, 1922, he was a son of the late Donald and Ethel (Thorne) Maxwell. He is survived by one daughter, Valerie (Mike) Atkinson of Moncton, NB, and one son, Phillip (Dorothy) Maxwell of Pennfield; one brother, Ross (Blanche) Maxwell of Canal and one sister, Madelyn Dutkiewicz (Jan) of Moncton; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Horace was pre-deceased by his wife, Eunice Helena (Hatt) Maxwell; son, Donald and sister, Yvonne Feeney.

Horace loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a self-employed Heavy Equipment Operator.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George. NB, from where the service will take place on Friday, July 29th at 2 pm from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating, followed by interment in St. George Rural Cemetery. There will be visiting at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Donations in Horace’s memory may be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
