Herbert Watson Leslie
1937 - 2005
The death of Mr. Herbert Watson Leslie, 67, of Back Bay, NB, husband of
Mary Diana (Larsen) Leslie, occurred on Saturday, January 29, 2005, at
the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB.
Born in Blacks Harbour, NB, on August 17, 1937, he was a son of the late Herbert
Watson Leslie and Thelma Disilvia (Hooper) Leslie. He was a self employed
fisherman with a great love of the outdoors and especially being on the water.
Surviving besides his wife Mary, are four daughters: Marilyn Leslie (Randy
Weaver) of Pennfield, Kimberley Cook (Michael) of Back Bay, Velda Leslie
(Ricky Wright) of Beaver Harbour, and Carla Leslie (Jarvis Cooke) of Back Bay;
six sisters, Barb Leavitt (Albert) of L’Etete, Gail Carvell
(Hughie) of Saint John, Gloria Clone (Paul) of St. Stephen, Kathleen
Seeley (Louis) of Zealand, NB, Josephine Gullison (Glenwood) of St.
Stephen and Connie Leslie Martinez (Gavier) of St. Stephen; eight
grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Herbert was predeceased by daughter Mary Ann Leslie and a son Justine Herbert
Watson Leslie and step father Maurice Sheldon Hanley.
Resting at the Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay, NB from where the service
will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook Jr.
officiating. Visiting hours at the church on Monday January 31, 2005 from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 pm . Interment to take place in the St. George Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be
appreciated by the family.
