Milton Dines Obituary, St. George Rural Cemetery, St. George, NB MILTON DINES
    Milton E. Dines, of Montreal, died on Dec. 9, 1987 in Montreal.  The funeral service was held in the United Baptist Church, Montreal.  Friends served as pallbearers.  Cremation followed in Montreal.
    Dines was born Oct. 12, 1905, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sidney S. Dines of Green's Point, L'Etete.  He was a graduate of the St. George Superior High School and of the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, where he received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering.
    For 35 years he was employed with the Bell Telephone Company in Montreal where he has resided.
    He was a member of the United Baptist Church, of which he served as treasurer for a number of years, and greatly enjoyed the sport of golf.
    Surviving are his wife, Mildred Dow Dines, formerly of St. George, his son Ronald E. Dines of Vanleek Hill, Ont.; daughter Gail (Mrs. Michael Roach) of Port Elgin, NB; and six grandchildren;  Dara and Alyssa Dines of Vankleek Hill;  Jeffrey, Christopher, Jennifer, and Andrew Roach.  He was also survived by brothers, Prescott Dines of St. Andrews and Dunsdale, Florida;  two sisters, Clara (Mrs. William Cote), Clearwater, Florida, and Ann (Mrs. Algie Theriault) of Valley Road, St. Stephen and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
    A memorial service for Dines was held on Saturday, June 25 in the United Baptist Church in St. George.
    The service was conducted by the pastor of the church, Reverend Jonathan P. Steeper.
Mason Mitchell was organist for the congregational hymns, "On a Hill Far Away" and "Abide With Me" with the hymn "Amazing Grace" played as a violin solo by Mr. Mitchell, organ accompanist was Mrs. Edith Davis of Second Falls.
    Interment was at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
    Attending the memorial service were relatives and friends from Montreal, Plaster Rock, Ontario, St. Andrews, Fredericton, Saint John, Bocabec, L'Etete and Point Clare, Quebec.
