Elizabeth Anthony Obituary, St. George, NB HOWARD W ANTHONY—Dated July 23, 1964—Blacks Harbour—The death of Howard Waterson Anthony, 66, of Blacks Harbour, occurred in Saint John General Hospital. Funeral service was held from the residence here to Calvary United Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Brittain officiating, assisted by Rev. A D Cann.
 Pallbearers were grandsons, Wesley Anthony Jr., Walter McPherson, Allison Wilcox, Howard Johnson, Charles Johnson, and Chester Evans.
 Mr. Anthony was born at Wilson’s Beach, Campobello, a son of the late James Edgar and Elizabeth Maud (Hilyard) Anthony.  He resided on Campobello until 1941, moving to Blacks Harbour, where he was employed with Connors Bros. Ltd. for 25 years.
 Among the many floral tributes were public pieces from the Reformed Church Sunday school; Pentecostal Church; Baptist Church, Wilson’s Beach; Ganong Brothers Limited, St. Stephen; Irving Oil Company Ltd., Saint John; No. 5 Factory, Connors Bros. Ltd., Lahey Clinic, Boston, Mass., and donations to the Gideon Bible Society and a memorial to the Canadian Heart Fund.
 Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Lillian Fletcher; seven daughters, Mrs. Charles McPherson, Saint John, Mrs. Lawrence Wilcox, Lake Utopia, Mrs. Albert Johnson, Mrs. Walter Munn, Mrs. Samuel Beney, all of Blacks Harbour, Mrs. J Vance Justason, Lakewood, and Miss Mary Anthony, Blacks Harbour; eight sons, Wesley E, Bridgewater, Mass., Graeme D, Boston, Mass., Millidge G, Martinon, Willard W, Waitstill M, Gordon C, James E, and Ralph B, all of Blacks Harbour; four sisters, Mrs. Owen Lank, Mrs. Leslie Newman and Mrs. Harry Martin, all of Wilson’s Beach, Mrs. Hazen Laman, Little Lepreau; four brothers, Lewis, Medford, Lare, and Otis, all of Wilson’s Beach; 46 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
 A son Ronald A Anthony died four years ago.
