Gordon Robert Campbell

Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on December 18, 2003 surrounded by his family, Mr. Gordon Robert Campbell, husband of Berla Jean (Frost) Campbell of St. George, NB. Born in Harcourt, Kent Co. NB on May 8, 1918 he was a son of the late Hector and Mae (Shirley) Campbell. A loving husband, father and grandfather he is survived besides his wife by two sons: Roderick Campbell of Fredericton and Daniel (Joanne) Campbell of The Falls, NS; four grandchildren, Scot (Lorna), Andy (Susanne), both of Fredericton; Colin and Krista Campbell of The Falls, NS; three great grandchildren, Daniel, Katelyn, and Jenna, one brother Archie (Jean) Campbell of Pennfield, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Paul and Kathleen Steinke.

Gordon was a veteran of World War II having served overseas in various countries with the Royal Canadian Artillery he later graduated from the Maritime Forest Ranger School in Fredericton in 1950 and worked as a Forest Ranger with the Department of Natural Resources for 35 years in Woodstock, Canterbury and finally St. Stephen area until his retirement in 1978. Gordon was a great lover of music, he was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 40 in St. George.

Resting at the Second Falls Baptist Church, with visiting on Saturday from 3 until 3:45 pm with service to follow at 4 pm. Interment in the Second Falls Baptist Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
