At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on February 23, 2013, Mr. Lloyd
Osborne Hanley formerly of Back Bay NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on April
5, 1938, he was the son of the late Trueman and Ida “Belle” (
Walsh)
Hanley. A loving brother, uncle, great uncle and friend, Lloyd is survived
by his sister, Joyce (Bill)
Lynch of St. George NB, two
nephews, Robert (Melanie) Lynch of Saint John NB and Bruce Lynch of
Fredericton NB, two great nephews, Nick (Marci) Lynch of St. George NB and
Joel Lynch of Saint John NB, one great great nephew, Jesse Lynch of St.
George NB and by many cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Lloyd
was predecesed by one nephew, Ronald Lynch and by one niece, Trudy Lynch.
Prior to retirement, Lloyd worked in the Janitorial Department for Connors
Brothers in Back Bay and Blacks Harbour. Lloyd had a big heart and was a
lover of all animals, often taking in and feeding stray cats and dogs. When
able, Lloyd enjoyed going out to eat, going for drives and visiting with his
friends and family. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
In keeping with Lloyd’s wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside
service will be held at the Back Bay Community Cemetery, Back Bay NB in the
spring with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. In Lloyd’s memory, donations to
the Charlotte County SPCA or to the Fundy Nursing Home would be appreciated
