Dorothy Ann Campbell

Peacefully, at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB on December 6, 2004, Mrs. Dorothy Ann Campbell, wife of the late John Guy Campbell, formerly of Bonny River, NB. Born in Elmcroft, NB on June 27, 1907, she was a daughter of the late Sydney and Myna (Lee) Brockway. Dorothy is survived by four sons, Stanley (Donna) of Saint John, James (Sharon) of Saint John, Gordon of Canal, and Calvin of Grand Bay; five daughters, Pauline Campbell of Blacks Harbour, Evelyn (Mrs. Earle Hiltz) of Moores Mills, Josephine (Mrs. Louis Frost) of Second Falls, Jean Ann (Mrs. Richard Hooper) of Bonny River, and Joan (Mrs. Louis Rousseau) of Bromptonville, PQ; one brother, Ronald of Milltown; one sister, Sadie (Mrs. Lewis Jacobs) of St. Stephen; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by three sons, Donald, Guy and Harold; three brothers, Hazen, Stanley and Gordon.

Dorothy enjoyed cooking and sewing. She especially enjoyed playing the organ and reading her bible. She was a long time member of the Second Falls Baptist Church.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm from the Second Falls Baptist Church, followed by interment in the Campbell family plot. Visiting at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Dorothy’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
