David Herbert Borthwick

Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, on March 3, 2005, Mr. David Herbert Borthwick, loving husband of Sheila (McLaughlin) Borthwick of Canal, NB. Born in Pennfield, NB on May 27, 1943, he was a son of the late John E. and Laura Mae (Oliver) Borthwick. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived, besides his wife, by one son, Steven McVicar of St. Stephen; one daughter, Kelly Seeley (Bill Hillier) of Seeley’s Cove; three grandchildren; one brother, Alfred (Blanche) Borthwick of Back Bay; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by one brother, Burton.

Dave was a hard worker who was employed by Fundy Contractors as a truck driver for ten years. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

Resting at St. Marks Anglican Church, Main Street, St. George, from where the service will be held on Saturday, March 5th, at 2 pm, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In David’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
