We are pained to learn that A.J. WETMORE, Esq., late Collector of Customs, St. George (Charlotte Co.) died 30th ult., after an illness of five weeks. He was born at Carleton (St. John) in 1798 of Loyalist parents, appointed to the Collectorship of St. George in 1820 and resided there ever since with the exception of 13 mos. spent in an official capacity at Campobello. The funeral, which was the largest ever seen at St. George, took place Saturday 2 o'clock.
