Peacefully, at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB on December 18
2003, Mrs. Alberta Mabel (Leslie) Henry, 98, wife of the late Charles
E. Henry of St. George, NB.
Born in St. George, NB she was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Cook)
Leslie. A loving mother and grandmother and sister, Alberta is survived by
three sons, Eugene Henry of Kingston, ON, Douglas (Sharon) Henry of
Quispamsis, NB and Terry (Helen) Henry of Quispamsi, NB; three daughters,
Edith Jones of Hamilton, ON, Marjorie Poulin (Cliff) of
Ottawa, ON and Virginia (John) DeSteCroix of Oromocto; six
grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren;
two sisters,Vera Leslie and Edith Patterson both of Letang,
NB; two brothers, John Leslie of Letang, NB and Darrell Leslie of Toronto,
ON; several nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides her husband Charles,
Alberta was predeceased by two brothers, Basil and Joseph; two sisters Emma
Daggett and Lucy Haynes.
Alberta’s greatest attribute was her cooking and feeding people. She was an
avid reader. She had a green thumb, loved flowers and nature and enjoyed
going for drives. Prior to her retirement she worked in housekeeping at the
Algonquin Hotel in St. Andrews.

(755-3533), with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 The service will
be held at The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the funeral home on
Monday, December 22, 2003 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mary Ann Langmaid
officiating. Donations to Hospice of Saint John, St. Mark’s Anglican Church
Rebuilding Fund or charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the
