The death of Florence M. McGrattan of Saint John, widow of Edmund F. McGrattan, occurred peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday, April 5, 2004. Mrs. McGrattan was born in St. George, a daughter of the late George and Beatrice (McGee) Brown. She was an avid harness-racing fan and follower of the Saint John Flames. She was a long-time parishioner of Holy Trinity Parish. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Dorcas Merrithew; and two brothers, Gilman and Chandler Brown. She is survived by one daughter, Joan McGrattan of San Francisco; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., on Wednesday morning at 10:30. Interment will take place in St. George Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
