Muster Rolls-Queens Rangers

Queen's Rangers - Hugh McKay

Hugh McKay was from Sutherlandshire, Scotland and an officer of the Queen's American Rangers Regiment of Foot during the American Revolutionary War. After the war he came to New Brunswick with many of his loyal soldiers and settled in the St. George area. He received three grants of land at Bonny River, north of St. George. He then divided this land among his soldiers, my ancestor Charles Cox was one of them. The following is one of the last musters of his company while in New York, prior to their departure to St. John, New Brunswick.
