Samuel Grearson/Grierson and Johanna Chambers
Samuel Grearson was the son of James Grierson and Margaret Kelly
James Grierson was a Loyalist with the 74th Argyll Highlanders and granted land
in St. Andrews. He named his new home Caithness.
OBITUARY: The Calais Advertiser, Calais, ME Wed., March 3, 1909, pg 9.
Mrs. Susan Grearson, widow of the late Capt. William Grearson, died suddenly
at her home on Garfield Street at the age of 73 years. Mrs. Grearson's maiden
name was Susan McVicar. She was born near St. George, N.B. but passed the
greater
part of her life in this city. She leaves five sons, Colin, William, Clifton and
Guy, residents of this city, and Grafton residing in Lynn, Mass. and one
daughter, Mrs. Arthur Gray, of Rockland. The funeral service were held
yesterday, Rev. Mrs. Edgett officiating.
