Unexpectedly,
at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on April 28, 2006, Mr.
Clifford Leroy Murray, husband of the late Edna Rebecca (Frost) Murray of
Second Falls, NB. Born in Caithness, NB on April 4, 1921, he was a son of
the late Samuel and Catherine (Barry) Murray. A loving father, grandfather
and brother, he is survived by one son, Raymond (Barbara) Murray of Second
Falls; one daughter, Bonnie (Donnie) Needle of Beaver Harbour; five
grandchildren, Cliff (Holly) Needle of Fort MacMurray, AB, Terry Needle
(Barry Carrier) of Beaver Harbour, Carrie Murray (Bruce Fraser) of Pictou,
NS, David and Jeremy Murray, both of Second Falls; three
great-grandchildren, Catherine, Barry and Logan; two brothers, Orlo (Bonnie)
and Billy (Marion), both of Caithness; one sister, Edna Kinney of Canal;
several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife and parents, he was
predeceased by a brother, Manford Murray and one sister, Bertha Frye.
Clifford was a truck driver, having driven truck for various employers,
retiring from Connors Bros. Ltd. after 20 years. He was an avid baseball fan
who loved the Blue Jays. Clifford also loved hunting and the outdoors and
was a member of the Second Falls United Baptist Church. Resting at St.
George Funeral Home (506-755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB E5C
3L6 with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be
held on Wednesday from the Second Falls United Baptist Church at 2 pm,
followed by interment in the church cemetery. In Clifford’s memory,
donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s
choice, would be appreciated by the family. |
