Cedric Harold Shaw
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on July 14th, 2006, Mr. Cedric
Harold Shaw, husband of June (Fiander) Shaw of 108 Mount Pleasant Street,
St. George, NB.
Born in Oakville, NB on May 29th, 1935, he was a son of the late Harold and Alma
(Delong) Shaw. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother he is
survived by his wife; two daughters; Debbie (George) McGarrigle of
Pennfield, Vicki (Raymond) Hall of St. George, one son; Brian (Bonny)
Shaw of Lepreau, six grandchildren; Brent, Alisha, Vanessa, Greg, Tyler, and
Dylan, two great-granddaughters; Hillary and Grace, two sisters; Alice
(Ellsworth) Wilcox and Eldene Powell, four brothers; Dale
(Crystal), Earl (Joan), Jack (Christine) and Larry (Martha), several nieces,
nephews and cousins. Cedric was predeceased by one brother, Floyd Shaw.
Cedric was known as a hard working man. He started working at the St. George
pulp mill and then for A. Hatt Construction where he continued to work for the
next 36 years. He hauled gravel for many people in Charlotte County. He loved
his dump truck and his old John Deere tractor.
The family will receive friends at the St. George Baptist Church on Monday from
2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held at the church on Tuesday at 2:00 pm
followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. In Cedric’s memory,
donations to the New Brunswick Lung Association or a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St.
