Mr. David James Suttie
1931 - 2006






Unexpectedly, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on February 14, 2006, Mr. David James Suttie, husband of Mary Anne (Cavanaugh) (Scott) Suttie, of Blacks Harbour. Born at Augusta, Maine on January 6, 1931, he was a son of the late Sidney McLean Suttie and Addie (Leavitt) (Suttie) Doucette.

He is survived by his beloved wife and cherished children, sons, David (Sharon) Suttie of Fredericton, NB and Jeff (Patty) Suttie of Pennfield; two step-sons, Tony (Sharon) Scott of St. George and Andrew M. Scott; one step-daughter, Melissa A. Haley (Laurie Russell) of Pennfield; sixteen wonderful grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charles (Hilda) Doucette of Mooseland Nova Scotia, Jack (Brenda) Doucette of Florida, Calvin (Laurine) Doucette of Port Severn Ontario, Blake (Pamela) Doucette of Pennfield; two sisters, Elizabeth (Suttie) Doak of Ajax, ON and Jacqueline (Reginald) French of St. George; several nieces, nephews and cousins. David was pre-deceased by his first wife, Jacqueline (Bradford) Suttie.

David loved to go in the woods. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved to study nature and enjoyed gardening and hunting. He also was an avid reader, and was a man who loved God.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB E5C EL6 with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held at the United Pentecostal Church in Blacks Harbour on Friday at 2 pm. Interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring.
