VALMOND THEODORE FRENCH



Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on Sunday June 18th, 2006, Mr. Valmond Theodore French, husband of Regina (Dewitt) French of Back Bay NB. Born at Robinston ME on August 15th, 1926. He was a son of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Hanley) French.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother he is survived besides his wife by two sons, Robert (Edna) French of Utopia, Theodore (Brenda) of Back Bay, two daughters, Sherri French (Mike Savoy) of Pennfield and Kelley French (Gerald Cormier) of Bethel NB and one stepson Harry (Muriel) McLaughlin of Honeydale NB. 10 Grandchildren, Tammy (Craig) Grant of Grand Bay, Robert French Jr. of Saint John, Melody French of Utopia, Rockey (Jennifer) French of Utopia, Heide (Kevin) MacKillop of Caithness, Ryan French of Alberta, Sadie French of Back Bay, April Buchanan and Jeff Butler of Blacks Harbour, Jodi (Mike) Smith of Quispamsis and Shane McVicar of Bethel. One step granddaughter Paula Burkey, three step grandsons, Naaman, Cecil and James McLaughlin. Eight great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Haley MacKillop, Martina French, Paige Grant, Lucas and Hannah French, Manning and Mason Buchanan and Delaney Butler. Three brothers, Melvin (Helen) French of Back Bay, Clarence (Isabelle) French and Reginald (Jacqueline) French both of St. George. One sister, Mildred (Merrit) Hatt of Back Bay and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his first wife, Ida French, he was predeceased by 2 brothers, Boyton and Glendon French.

Prior to his retirement, Valmond was a carpenter by trade. In his earlier years he was known as an ardent hunter and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #40 in St. George.

Resting at the Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB. From where the service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Monday from 7-9pm, and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. In Valmond’s memory donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
