Linda Hunter-Obit-St. George, NB-Catholic Cemetery

05/19/2004  HUNTER, MARY LINDA - After a courageous four year battle with cancer, Linda Hunter passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Monday, May 17, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Benoit) Babineau. Linda worked for a few years at the Tuna Plant in Bayside and for over 18 years at the Connor Brothers Plant in Black's Harbour. Family was everything to Linda and in 1991 she left her work to dedicate herself full-time to the care of her mother and father. Linda is survived by her very special friend and companion, Armand Blais; her daughter Amanda Hunter, both of Saint John, NB; her sisters Mary Yvonne (Romeo) St. Cyr, Agnes (Normand) Gagnon, both of Saint John, NB, and Shirley (Vince) Parker of Jacksonville, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Arthur Jr. Babineau, sisters Mary Shirley Ann Babineau and Eunice Lumbston. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) with visiting today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (Parish Prayers at 2 p.m.) Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 11 a.m., from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Black's Harbour, NB, celebrated by Rev. Maurice Swift. Interment to follow in the St. George Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of donor's choice. Special thanks go to the nurses of 4B North at the Saint John Regional Hospital from Linda's family for all their kindness.
