Born 1920 in Vancouver; home in Chemainus, British Columbia; enlisted in Vancouver, 11 February 1941. Trained at No.2 ITS (graduated 22 May 1941), No.9 AOS (graduated 23 October 1941), No.6 BGS (graduated 6 December 1941) and No.2 ANS (graduated 16 March 1942). Commissioned 1943. Award presented 29 January 1947.
