Forced Landed At Coldbrook

Forced Landed At Coldbrook
Transcribed by G. Christian Larsen

An Anson bomber, from the R.C.A.F. No.2 Air Navigation School, Pennfield Ridge, made a forced landing on a field at Coldbrook, almost directly opposite the provincial public works department building, about 3:45 yesterday morning.

The plane landed about 100 yards from the road and about 50 feet from the railway tracks. Residents of the area described yesterday how the plane had circled the field several times, dropping flares and playing a search light on the ground, and then landed, sustaining damage to its propellor and possible landing gear.

Although it was reported one of the crew had been injured, it was stated yesterday by Wing Cmdr. Miller, Pennfield O.C., that none of the five men aboard was hurt.
