Schedule of Events

Everyone is welcome to attend the Pennfield Ridge War Memorial Service (2014) BUT seating for the banquet dinner is limited to one hundred and seventy-five (175). Therefore to help us provide appropriate venues and estimate costs, please fill out and submit our Registration Form.

Pennfield Ridge War Memorial Service (2014): The Royal Canadian Legion (Branch No.40), St. George 2-3 pm.

A memorial service held to honour the seventy-nine (79) service personnel (70 Pennfield Ridge Air Station and 9 Camp Utopia) and seven (7) civilians killed at these two Charlotte County bases; remember those who have since gone on to join their comrades in the sky and listen to the stories from those we still have with us.

An outline of the events to follow is:

Reception Service: The Royal Canadian Legion, St. George 3-5 p.m.

    - Rick Doucet, MLA Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West
    - John Williamson, MP New Brunswick Southwest
    - S/L Bruce C. Carter, CD (RNZAF)
    - The Honorable Graydon Nicholas, ONB, Lieutent Govenor of New Brunswick

The memorial service is being dedicated to our fallen Comrades, namely Robert E. (Bob) Anderson (RCNVR), John F.G. Charters, CD (RCAF); Robert Burns (Bob) Charters (RCAF), DFM, Croix de Guerre (France), Ridgwell Cullum, DFC (NRZAF), Harold Burton Gillespie (RCA); Medford Glen Holland (RCA); Donald Charles Frederick Moors (RCAF), Arthur Victor Spragg (RCA); Lawrence Vernon Stewart (RCA); John Oswald Ward (RCA), Ken Wright (RCAF) and to all the others who have put their lives on the line to keep our country free.
