THE ENCLOSED INDEX HAS BEEN COMPILED FROM INSCRIPTIONS INSCRIBED ON MONUMENTS AND MARKERS FOUND IN THE CHRIST CHURCH (ANGLICAN) CEMETERY. AT NO TIMES SHOULD THIS INDEX BE CONSIDERED TO BE 100% TRUE OR ACCURATE. AS FURTHER INFORMATION IS OBTAINED, IT SHALL BE INCLUDED IN FUTURE REVISIONS.
IF ANY PERSON HAS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING THIS INDEX, OR ANY CORRECTIONS, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED SO AS TO MAINTAIN A COMPLETE AND ACCURATE ACCOUNT OF THE HISTORY OF INTERNMENTS IN THE CHRIST CHURCH (ANGLICAN) CEMETERY. IF YOU HAVE ANY CORRECTIONS OR UPDATES PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
THE "OLD" PORTION OF THE CEMETERY ENCOMPASSES THE AREA AROUND THE CHURCH, BUILT ABOUT 1830. MANY OF THE GRAVE MARKERS DETERIORATED OVER TIME, BROKE AND DURING MAINTENANCE DISAPPEARED. RAISED LOTS WERE LEVELED TO FACILITATE MOWING. THE RESULT IS THAT THE NAMES AND LOCATION OF MANY PEOPLE BURIED PRIOR TO 1900 HAS BEEN LOST. BURIAL RECORDS PRIOR TO 1901 WERE LOST IN A RECTORY FIRE. SOME MICROFILM INFORMATION EXISTS ON DOCUMENT F1801 AVAILABLE FROM THE PROVINCIAL ARCHIVES IN FREDERICTON, NB.
