Child Injured In Peculiar Accident

Black's Harbour, June 26 - An odd accident occurred Thursday afternoon when little Mary Edith Ainslee McLean sustained a painful injury to the index finger of her left hand. The baby, aged thirteen months, was playing in her carriage with her brother Douglas nearby and it is presumed she, in some way, caught her finger in the metal part between the body and the hood cutting it very deeply and severing an artery which necessitated four stitches. The child is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murdo L. McLean of Black's Harbour.
