LAROCQUE, ALTA VIVIAN -
Passed away on June 15, 2002 at the Northern Carleton Hospital in
Bath, N.B. She was 76. Alta V. (Crandlemire) Larocque of
Centreville, N.B. was born on February 24, 1926 to the late Daniel & Fern (Anderson)
Crandlemire.
She is survived by 3 children, Laura Lee Palmer (George) of
Caribou, Me., Lloyd (Linda) of Bedec, P.E.I., and Gary (Nicole)
of Upper Kingsclear, N.B.; 1 brother, Murray Crandlemire of
Lakeville, N.B.; 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She
was predeceased by one brother, Douglas. Remains resting at The
Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Rd. Jacksonville, N.B.,
where friends may call 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Monday, June 17,
2002. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.
from the funeral home. Rev. Dan Sentinier will be officiating.
Interment will take place in the Avondale Cemetery. Expressions

LARSEN, DONALD CHRISTIAN - Donald Christian Larsen, of Woodstock
passed away at his home in Woodstock on Wednesday, July 09, 2003,
at the age of 89. Donald is survived by one son Robert Larsen and
Lavina Keenan of Woodstock; one daughter, Dorothy (Hunter)
Stentaford of Halifax; one brother, Jens (Gwen) Larsen of New
Denmark; five grandchildren, Jeff Larsen; Peter Larsen; Cheryl
Larsen; Kris Stentaford; Karen Stentaford; one great grandson
Evan; several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his
wife, Madelon Larsen; his parents, Hans and Signe Larsen; two
brothers, Phillip Larsen and Ken Larsen. Resting at The Scott
Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB with visiting on
Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on
Saturday at 11 am from St. Gertrudes Catholic Church. Father
Samuel Diotte will be officiating, with interment in the Calvary
Cemetery. If desired donations may be made to the Canadian Red

LAURIDSEN, AUDREY ALTHEA - Audrey Althea Lauridsen (Hall) born
March 24, 1913 in Woodstock N.B. eldest daughter of the late
Charles A Hall and Zula J (Dow) Hall passed away peacefully at
the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 13, 2003. Audrey was a
resident of Aroostook Jct N.B. where she met and married Alvin G.
Lauridsen who predeceased her. She is survived by one son Stephen
A Lauridsen and his wife Margaret, one granddaughter Katlin of
Brockville Ont. one sister Mary P Hall of Waterville Maine, one
niece Heather Hutchins (Earl) and their Families. Predeceased by
one sister Phyllis V Gains (Chellis) and one brother Spurgeon A
Hall (Louise). Visiting hours Monday June 16, 2003 from 1-3PM
from White\rquote s Chapel Funeral Service will be held on Monday
June 16, 2003 at 3PM with Rev Malcolm Stairs assisted by Rev

LAWLOR, KELLY -
Of Burlington, ON passed away at her residence on February 2,
2002 at the age of 42 after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint
John, NB she was the
daughter of Earl and Jeannie (Quinn) Lawlor. Kelly is survived by her
mother; Jeannie of Florenceville, NB, two aunts; Kay Briggs of
Florenceville and Marion Karnz (Fred) of Burlington, three
uncles; Allison Quinn (Claudia) of Burlington, Buck Quinn (Ida)
of Wicklow, NB and Dick Quinn (Karen) of Florenceville. She was
predeceased by her father Earl. The family will receive visitors
at Kilcollins Chapel in Florenceville on Wednesday February 13,
2002 from 7-9 PM. A Memorial Service will be held from the Chapel
on Thursday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Les Johnston officiating.
Interment will take place in the Florenceville United Church
Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, Memorial Tributes
may be made to the Faith Memorial United Church Building Fund or
to the charity of the donors choice.

LEE, GRETA JOYCE - 1936-2003 - Joyce Lee of Bristol, NB passed
away on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the Northern Carleton
Hospital, Bath, NB at the age of 67. Joyce is survived by her
companion Deane Crabbe, sons Stephen Lee of Glassville, NB and
Duane Lee of Knowlesville, NB, sisters Evelyn Bragdon of
Glassville and Jackie McNeill of Saint John, brother Doug Patrick
of Ontario, and grandsons Kenneth, John and Ben. The family will
receive visitors at Kilcollins Funeral Home, Bath on Friday,
November 14 from 7-9 PM. There will be a private family committal
at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
Martin Kilfoil Fund.

LEECH, H. STANLEY
Stanley H. Leech of 21 Cambers Point Lane, Skiff Lake, New
Brunswick passed away at the Carleton Memorial Hospital on August
12, 2002 in his 78th year. He was born in Woodstock, NB on July
13, 1924, son
of Harry and Mabel Leech. He graduated from Woodstock High School and
after Graduation went to work for Laura McLaughlin at the
Sentinel Press. He enlisted in the RCAF and spent the remaining
years attached to the RAF in an experimental Squadron in Canada's
north. He also served many years with the 89th Field Battery
Reserve Army. After the war he operated with his brothers a
grocery store on Pine and College Street and the Broadway Irving
and spent the last 20 years in retirement at Skiff Lake. He was
predeceased by his parents; brothers, Edward, Lorne, Orian and
Carl. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Marie (Glen) Page, Mrs.
Shirley (Skip) Prosser Jr, both of Woodstock, NB and Mrs Agnes (John)
O'Neill of Calgary, Alberta; one brother, George (Ann) Leach of
Woodstock, NB. Also several nieces and nephews. Resting at the
Culberson Funeral Home, 188 Connell Street, Woodstock, NB (325-1130)
with visiting hours on August 13, 2002 (Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9
pm. Funeral services to be held on August 14, 2002, Wednesday at
2:00 pm from The Culberson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bruce

LEGERE, Alberta Mavor
KENNEBUNKPORT Alberta Mavor Legere, 90, died Thursday at
Pine Point Nursing Center in Scarborough. She was born in the
Scottish colony of Kintore, New Brunswick, a daughter of Alexander and Lulu
Miles Mavor.
She was brought up in Oakland by Flora Bowen. For many years, she
lived in Stafford Springs, Conn., where she was a grand matron of
Eastern Star, had a catering business and enjoyed sewing. For the
past 33 years, she had lived in Kennebunkport. She owned and
operated The Fontenay Terrace Motel from 1967 to 1986. In her
early days, she worked at Bald Mountain Camps on Lake
Mooselookmeguntic during summers and hotels in St. Petersburg,
Fla., during winters with her mother. She was a member of the
Mother's Club, Good Cheer, Olympian Club and Easten Star, all of
Kennenbunkport. She enjoyed entertaining and creating crafts such
as dressing dolls. Her first husband, Roy Ditson, and her second
husband, John Legere, both died previously. Surviving are a son,...;
a grandson,...; a great-granddaughter,... and two nieces....

LEONARD, ROLLAND ELMER Rolland Elmer Leonard of Woodstock passed
away at Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock on Sunday,
October 26, 2003, at the age of 84. Rolland is survived by three
sons, Mayor Randy Leonard and his wife Eleanor of Woodstock, NB;
Jack Leonard and his wife Margaret of Franktown, ON; Brian
Leonard and his wife Gloria of Almonte, ON; one daughter, Lorna
Everett and her husband Kenneth of Windsor, NS; he is also
survived by two brothers, Carl Leonard and Ralph Leonard; four
sisters, Emma Bradley; Ruth Calder, Eola Bull and Dora Jellison;
nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews. Rolland served in the Carleton York Regiment, (1939-1945).
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Leonard; his parents, George
and Annie Leonard; one granddaughter, Heather Leonard; two
brothers, Norton Leonard and Lloyd Leonard; two sisters, Jean

LEWIS, EDITH ROBENA The death of Edith Robena Lewis, wife of the
late Lloyd L. Lewis occurred on September 22nd , 2003 at her
residence in Hartland, NB. Born in Waterville, Carleton County,
she was the daughter of the late Fred and Carrie B. (Churchill)
Culberson. Edith attended the Waterville School and was a
graduate of Fredericton Normal School. She taught school in
Jacksonville, Upper Woodstock and in Fredericton at Albert Street
and Priestman Street Schools. Edith is survived by several nieces
and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Lloyd;
brothers, Roy, Earle, Chester, Harold and George and sisters,
Edna Gray, Jean Gartley and Bessie Estey. There will be no

2002. Lloyd was born in Salisbury, NB on July 24, 1921. Lloyd is
survived by his wife Edith (Culberson) Lewis of Hartland, NB; Two
brothers Austin (Marie) Lewis of Sussex, NB. Weldon (Tressa) of
Riverview, NB; Two sisters Mildred Horsman of Moncton, N.B. Lula
Wilmont of Lower Coverdale, NB; Several nieces and Nephews. He

Alice (Crabb) Lincer and her husband, Jack Lincer, formerly of
Bangor, passed away at Mesa, Ariz.
Alice was the daughter
of Ida and Walter Crabb. She is survived by one sister, Katherine Murry
of Bangor; one brother, Robert Crabb of South Portland. Alice and
Jack are survived by their children, Jacqueline Lincer and her
husband, Joe of California and Francine Lincer and her husband,
Arnold of Las Vegas, Nev., Walter Lincer and his wife, Darlene of
Florida; four grandchildren, Alison, Mallory, Jack Matthew and
Catlin. They were predeceased by one daughter, Catherine Johnson.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St.

Passed away at her home on December 5, 2002, she was 68. Born on
June 4, 1934 in Millville, York County, N.B. to the late William and Lila (Stairs) Newell, widow of the late Herbert
Little. She received early education at Maplewood Elementary
School, and graduated from High School at Southhampton. Then
graduated from Victoria Public Hospital School of Nursing, and
worked for many years in the field of Nursing. Survived by 2 sons
- Michael Joseph Little of Woodstock, and John William Little of
Toronto; Sister-in-laws - Kay Newell, Ruth (Little) Gartley, and
Betty Little; Brother-in-laws Gerald & Lo and Buddy &
Fran Little, plus many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her

LOVELY, JAMES
Glassville--Funeral services for James Lovely, who died July 20,
1956 at age 86, were held at the United Church of Canada,
Glassville with Rev. D.E. Adams officiating. Mr. Lovely was born
Feb. 24, 1870,
youngest of seven children of the late Benjamin and Esther Neal
Lovely and
had lived his entire life in the house in which he was born. He
had been in failing health for the past two years. Mr. Lovely was
married October 12, 1892 to Etta Bell, daughter of the late Mr.&
Mrs. James Bell, who survives him. They had six children, three
of whom survive. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Everett Bishop(Jennie),
Presque Isle, Maine; two sons, Norris of East Corinth, Maine; and
Arleigh at home, twelve grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews. Pallbearers were three nephews, Robert Lovely, Raymond
and Lawrence Sweet, Jack Allen Charles Quinn and Vaughn Lyon.
Those attending from a distance were Mr.& Mrs. Norris Lovely,
East Corinth, Maine; Mr.& Mrs. Floyd Bishop, Mapleton, Maine;
Mr.& Mrs. Dana Bishop, Neil Bishop, Mr.& Mrs. Orlin
Bishop ;and daughter Leila and son Gordon, Mr.& Mrs. William
Bishop, Mrs. Ernest Montgomery, all of Presque Isle, Maine and
Mrs., Kate Haley of Caribou, Maine. Fred Kilcollins was funeral
director and interment was in the Presbyterian Cemetery,
Glassville.

LOVELY, JOHN FRANKLIN
Gordonsville Man Succumbs Very Suddenly. The community of
Gordonsville was greatly shocked by the sudden death of Frank
Lovely on May 18, 1937. He was talking with friends at Bristol
when he collapsed and soon passed away. Mr. Lovely was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry
Lovely of
Gordonsville and 50 years of age. For some years he lived at
Wapsky and was employed by the Whitman Lumber Co. The deceased
had been enjoying his usual health and in company with his
sister, Mrs. Sam Elkins had just returned from visiting relatives
in Houlton and Presque Isle, stopping at the Cheeri-O Tea Room,
Bristol for refreshments and lunch. After enjoying lunch together
the sisters, Mrs. Elkins and Mrs. Ackley returned to
Gordonsville, Mr. Lovely remaining at Bristol; and while
conversing with friends, suddenly collapsed and passed away in a
few minutes. The deceased possessed a genial disposition,
friendly and good natured and will be much missed by those who
knew him. He is survived by his wife Minnie (Briggs) and one son
Ira at Wapske, Victoria County; one daughter Irma at Houlton, Me.;
his father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Lovely of
Gordonsville; three brothers Wellington, Robert and Kenneth,
Gordonsville; two sisters, Mrs. John Ackeley, Presque Isle, Me.,
and Mrs. Samuel Elkins, Gordonsville, NB. Interment was made in
the family lot in Gordonsville cemetery.

LOVELY, NORRIS BENJAMIN
Norris B. Lovely, 78, of 196 Birch St., Bangor died August 2,
1973 at a local hospital following a brief illness. He was born
March 3, 1895 at Glassville, N.B., the son of James and Etta (Bell)
Lovely. He
was the widower of Winnifred McMann Lovely who died last year.
Surviving are four sons, Orlin(Bill) of Bangor, Donald of LeRoy,
N.Y., Philip and Edward of Dayville, Conn; four daughters, Mrs.
Colby(Avis) Martin, Dansville, N.Y.; Mrs Carl(Irene) Brown of
Corinth, Mrs Walter(Georgina) Coble, Mocksville, N.C., Mrs Guy(Alma)
Spinney. Kenduskeag; a sister, Mrs. Everett(Jennie) Bishop of
Presque Isle; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral
services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in The Thompson Funeral Home,
East Corinth with Mr. Davis Tompkins officiating. Burial will be
in the Corinthian Cemetery, East Corinth. Friends may call at the
funeral home Friday between 2 and 4 and 7 and 9.p.m.

LOVELY, WILLIAM HENRY
William H. Lovely, 54, died at a Bangor, Maine hospital March 29,
1954, following a short illness. Mr. Lovely was born in
Glassville, N.B. Jan. 10, 1900 the son of James and Etta(Bell)
Lovely. He
was a resident of Searsport and formerly of New Gloucester, Maine.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows, the Knights of Pythias of
Gray and the American Vets of New Gloucester. He served in the
Army in World War II. Besides his wife Caroline (Palmer) Lovely
of Searsport, he is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. James
Lovely of Glassville, N. B.; by a sister Mrs Everett Bishop of
Presque Isle; two brothers Norris of East Corinth,Me. and Arlie
of Glassville, N.B. Funeral services were held at the White and
Hay's Funeral Home, Bangor on April 1 .He was taken to New
Gloucester where another service was held in charge of the Amvet
Post of which he was a charter member. Floral tributes were many
and beautiful from neighbors and friends. Interment was in the
family lot in New Gloucester.

Woodstock on Sunday, February 10, 2002 at the age of 84. Everett
is survived by his wife Ella, two sons; James Lunn and his wife
Jackie of Coquitlam, BC, William Lunn of Hartland, NB, one
daughter; Margaret Henderson and her husband Lloyd of
Yellowknife, N.W.T., eight grandchildren; Melanie Dumont and her
husband Chris of Yellowknife, Todd, Tracy and Tara Lunn of P.E.I.,
Kristin and Kelsey Lunn of Coquitlam, Colin Henderson of
Yellowknife, three great grandchildren, Tyler, Quilyn and Tanner,
several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents;
Beecher and Willa Lunn, one sister; Edith Kinnie. Resting at The
Scott Funeral Home 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB. With visiting
on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on
Wednesday at 2:00 PM from The Scott Chapel. Rev. Maynard Rector
will be officiating, with interment in the Woodstock Rural
Cemetery at a later date.
