This aerial view of Wilson's Beach was taken in 1995. Here is an attempt to identify some of the buildings in the photo:
- on the left side is a large white building with the red roof
is the Wilson's Beach movie theater.
- Towards the bottom of the photo (where the field
is) you can see a large Red color tree, beside the tree was the
old Robert Wilson's homestead which unfortunately was demolished
in July 2001
- on the right side are a number of buildings. The Largest white
roof is the sardine factory (Conner's ???)
-Next lower right is a peaked black roof with a white extended
roof. Victor Wilson was master carpenter and replaced it after
the 1942 hurricane. It was named Jackson's Store in 2000. The
curving road just this side of it is the entrance to the Wilson's
Beach breakwater/boat dock.
-The two story white house just left and in line with the Jackson
Store black roof was the home of Harry Jackson.
-The red and grey roof building just left of the Wilson family
home is Keith Jackson's store, formerly the V. H. Wilson &
Son store. The next left two story building overlaping the road
is Newman's store.
