LANK, BESSIE (BET) ELAINE - The death of Bessie (Bet) Elaine Lank of Welshpool, NB occurred at the Campobello Lodge Nursing Home on Saturday, March 10, 2001. Born in Campobello, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Carrie (Mitchell) Lank. She was a 1924 graduate of Newton-Wellesley Hospital, School of Nursing. During her 35 year career at the Childrens Medical Center in Boston, she served as a nurse and became chief of Anesthesiology. She was an active member of St. Anne's Church. Predeceased by sisters, Belle Cline, Gertrude Slater and Theda Wade; brothers, Selwyn, Austin, Merrill, Stan and Harry Lank, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. Resting at St. Anne's Anglican Church. The funeral will be held 2 PM on Monday from St. Anne's Church with Reverend Charles Smart officiating. Interment will take place in St. Anne's Cemetery. MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen in care of arrangements.
