The photo below shows John Thurber, husband of Addie Mae Mitchell, Merrill Stimpson, and John's son, Basil Thurber, who married Edith Newman. John and Addie brought up Merrill after his mother died when he was 2 years old. Merrill was the son of Sumner Stimpson and Minnie Mitchell Stimpson. Addie and Minnie were sisters, the daughters of Ezra Mitchell and Susan Malloch.
