This photo shows the family of Charles and Elizabeth Corey with there children Edith, Ivan and Noel. It is believed to have been taken around 1902. Charles Corey was the son of Alfred Elisha Corey and Eloma Lucretia Kierstead. He was born in Kierstead Mountain, Kings Co. NB. It is not known when he came to Campobello, but he and his family are listed in the 1901 Campobello census. His wife, Elizabeth Mae Thurber, was the daughter of Sylvanus and Edith Thurber. She was born and raised at North Road on Campobello. Charles and Elizabeth are buried at the North Road cemetery. Their daughter, Edith, married Edgar Mitchell. Charles was born in 1868, died 1945 Elizabeth was born 1875 and died 1959. Submitted by Debbie Jones Added 15/12/2001
